Happiness should always come first. When you are stuck in a situation about the industry, think about your happiness first.
You may be choosing between 2 agent offers or a number of manager offers. Perhaps you have to choose between your day job or an audition. Think about which would make you happy first. Happiness is important, especially for performers, because our emotions affect our work. So by thinking about your happiness first, you’ll ensure an emotionally healthy mindset for the choice ahead which should result in a great result for you.
Another thing to think about are your priorities. What are your priorities? Is it building your career? Having enough money to survive? Up skilling and training? Whatever they are, identifying them is useful for you to know because when we use the excuse of not having enough time, it’s because they’re not high enough on your priority list for you to “make time” for.
Lastly have a think about your value system. The things you value are the things you’ll make time and put effort into. If you don’t feel like something aligns with your values, you’ll make excuses not to do that thing. So figure out your value system so you create your environment and schedule to be aligned with what you believe.
At the end of the day. your happiness is what matters. Don't worry about what others think because YOU'RE the one who's living YOUR life!
